Hosta 'Ulysses S. Grant'

Hosta 'Ulysses S. Grant' is één van de hosta introducties uit president serie van Peter Ruh. Deze Hosta serie bestaan uit hosta's die allemaal genoemd zijn na Amerikaanse presidenten. Het blad (35 cm. bij 25 cm.) van deze  Ulysses S. Grant is Blauw/groen van kleur en verder wordt deze hosta omschreven als een groot (1.65 mtr. hoog) wordende hosta.

De ouders van Hosta 'Ulysses S. Grant' zijn onbekend. Alleen bekend is dat het hosta zaad afkomstig was van H. Sugita uit Japan. Dit is bij veel van Pete Ruh zijn hosta introducties trouwens het geval.

Ulysses S. Grant (1822-1885)*

Ulysses S. Grant was de 18de president van Amerika (1869-1877) en stierf in 1885.
