Hosta 'Thomas Jefferson'

Hosta 'Thomas Jefferson' is één van de hosta introducties uit president serie van Peter Ruh. Deze Hosta serie bestaan uit hosta's die allemaal genoemd zijn na Amerikaanse presidenten. Het blad (26 cm. bij 22 cm.) van deze  Thomas Jefferson is goudgeel van kleur en verder wordt deze hosta omschreven als een groot (1.10 mtr. hoog) wordende hosta.

De ouders van Hosta 'Thomas Jefferson' zijn onbekend. Alleen bekend is dat het hosta zaad afkomstig was van Hajime Sugita uit Japan. Dit is bij veel van Pete Ruh zijn hosta introducties trouwens het geval.

Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)*

Thomas Jefferson was de 3de president van Amerika (1801-1809) en stierf in 1826.
