Hosta 'Surprised by Joy'(Alex Malloy, 1998). Is een mini-hosta die is ontstaan uit een kruising tussen H.'Flamboyant' X H. venusta. Deze Hosta heeft een smal geel opstaand blad met een groene rand. Het is een goede groeier.
