Hosta 'Christmas Tree Gala'

Hosta 'Christmas Tree Gala' is een echte streaker. Dit is dan ook een veel gebruikte hosta bij veredelaars. De belangrijkste reden hiervoor is dat deze (onstabiele) hosta veel en goede bonte zaailingen geeft. Christmas Tree Gala is afkomstig als sport uit Hosta 'Christmas Tree' (Kevin C. Vaughn/Mildred Seaver, 1982) die weer ontstaan is uit de kruising, 'Frances Williams' x 'Beatrice'.
